Monday - Friday, from January 6th to February 7th
During this time, we will Fast, Pray, and seek the Presence of the Lord.
As 2025 unfolds, our attention is towards drawing near to the Lord. During this Fast, God wants to expand our understanding and authority by enabling us to stand in the gap and intercede on behalf of our generations.
We will keep the house in order, minister to the Lord, and to intercede.
LFC CHALLENGE:
Our challenge this year is to draw nearer to God. It is less about fasting food and more about developing great habits and practicing the presence of God. We are challenging each person to purposefully set apart one hour each day to draw near to the Lord.
FASTING:
Choose what items(s) you eliminate or which meal(s) you will forego. You may also fast a little sleep to make sure you are setting your time apart to spend with God.
THE SET TIME:
During your hour, we may suggest the following...
1. You are the House of God and must not be neglected:
A. Ashes and Fire: Removing the ashes is simply repentance, as you hear His voice, be quick to listen and repent of areas in character where deficits are revealed. Cry out for clean hands and a pure heart. Ask Him to forgive and restore.
B. Listen: This is one of the most important phases of this year's challenge. Take time to sit quietly before the Lord. Ask Him to speak and listen. Don't rush. He will give you instructions, reveal, correct, encourage, and strengthen.
2. Minister to the Lord:
A. Invite Holy Spirit, give thanks, praise, and worship. Recognize His Kingship and honor Him. You may play your favorite worship music, but we suggest you try this out of your own heart and spirit, you may be surprised at what you discover.
B. Go into the Word. Jesus is the Living Word! We suggest spending 30 minutes, follow a guideline if necessary and ask the Lord to teach you. Meditate upon it, read it aloud, speak it to yourself, build your faith.
3. Intercede:
A. Spend time with personal confessions of faith, include your positioning in Him, benefits of the covenant, and decrees of abundant life. 5 minutes is a good start.
B. Pray for loved ones, friends, co-workers, ministries, or any other persons or people groups. This is your time on behalf of people, not things. Seek first the Kingdom and the things are added. Take as much time as you need, this will ebb and flow with current circumstances in life.
Fast, Pray, and seek the Presence of the Lord while He may be found!
